When Allister approached us to build his Garden Room, The Lyndon, we met several times to discuss his needs and requirements.
Once we were all clear on that vision we were in a position to begin the work.
First of all, an existing wooden shed and Fir tree roots had to be removed which then cleared the site for us to proceed with the build.
On the back and side elevations we fitted anthracite grey James Hardieplank cladding and on the front elevation we fitted western red cedar. Allister wanted to maximise as much natural light as possible so we incorporated, in the front elevation, a 5 part bifold door set.
Anthracite grey fascia and soffit boards were fitted to finish the roof line and match the doors and windows.
As part of the build we incorporated some storage space. The shed is accessed through a door on the front elevation to offer ample storage. The door is also clad in Western Red Cedar and is integrated to look as inconspicuous as possible.
Allister wanted several sockets in the gym room to enable various configurations of gym machines. We even installed 2 twin floor sockets and, also, a 2 kw heater for the cooler months of the year.
In the shed, we fitted 4 double sockets and 2 ceiling strip lights.
Externally, we fitted soffit downlights to the soffit and wall lights to the front elevation wall.
Allister chose an oak laminate for the office. Laminate is a very practical choice of flooring for a Garden Room due to its durable and hard wearing properties.
Lastly, we fitted and painted the skirting board to complete.
Absolutely brilliant. Could not fault the standard of workmanship. So hard working and built our Garden room exactly how we wanted it.
A home gym and separate storage.
A functioning home gym and adequate storage for the garden tools, golf clubs and bikes.
