Home office for work-life balance

When Bevan and Stef approached us to build their Garden Room we met several times to discuss their needs and requirements.

Once we were all clear on that vision we were in a position to begin the work.

Build

First of all an existing wooden shed had to be removed which then cleared the site for us to proceed with the build. See our Projects page for full construction details.

On the back and side elevations we fitted anthracite grey James Hardieplank cladding, and on the front elevation we fitted western red cedar.

Bevan wanted to maximise as much natural light as possible, so we incorporated in the front elevation, a 3 part bifold door set and a window on the left elevation.

Anthracite grey fascia and soffit boards were fitted to finish the roof line and match the doors and windows.

Electrics

Bevan wanted several sockets to enable various configurations in the office. We also installed a 2 kw heater for the cooler months of the year. Externally we fitted soffit downlights to the soffit.

Flooring

Bevan chose an oak laminate for the office. Laminate is a very practical choice of flooring for a Garden Room due to its durable and hard wearing properties.

Lastly we fitted and painted the skirting board to complete.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Pete and his team to build an outdoor office, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. My project presented a unique challenge due to the awkward shape of the space, but Pete handled it with remarkable skill and creativity.

He made sure to clean up thoroughly after each day’s work, which I greatly appreciated. Beyond his technical skills, Pete is simply a really nice guy, which made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.

The project was completed on time, and the quality of craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. I now have my dream office, thanks to Pete and his team.
